Joe Lee from the USA designed this course along with ‘Rocky’ Roquemore and immediately it was considered among the best in Portugal. Located nearby the ocean and along the Fia Formosa natural park, it is situated in the 2000-acre Quinto do Lago estate which is renowned for its pine woods, lakes and abundant wildlife. Holes 6 through 10 stretch along the water and challenge the best of golfers while the final four holes are the toughest in the Algarve with lots of water and targets. The course has an ever-changing face and was often ranked in the World Top 100 by Golf Magazine.
