Overview
About halfway to the coast from Lisbon lies the Penha Longa Resort and its luxury golf facilities. This Robert Trent Jones Jr golf course is always in excellent condition. It winds up hills and through valleys close by the Formula 1 racetrack Circuito Estoril. One part of a Ritz Carleton run resort, constant improvements to the course make it among the best Lisbon area golf courses with plenty of carts and excellent service. The most famous hole is the 6th which is a downhill par 5 with a green protected by a lake, and a Roman era arched wall right behind the green. The Atlantico at Penha Longa is an excellent Portugal golf course!
