Overview

Voted Best Links Course in Connaught in 2013, 2016, 2018, 2023 and 2025, Connemara Golf Links is a 27-hole Championship Links carved into the raw beauty of Ireland’s west coast. Designed by the legendary Eddie Hackett and opened in 1973, this natural links is framed by the Atlantic Ocean and the iconic Twelve Bens, offering a golfing experience that is as breathtaking as it is unforgettable.

The A, B and C nines each showcase their own character—from the A9’s dramatic seaside opener, to the B9’s famed elevated greens admired by 8-time Major Champion Tom Watson, to the C9’s exhilarating coastline holes that demand creativity and precision. This is the #1 course in Galway, the region’s sole true links, and a proud host of major national championships.

Connemara’s setting is steeped in history and wildlife: Spanish Armada lore, transatlantic aviation milestones, roaming Connemara ponies, springing hares, singing skylarks and sweeping Atlantic views all combine to create a sense of place unlike anywhere else.

We’re open year-round—just bring your sense of adventure. The beauty of Connemara is that the weather loves to keep you guessing!
