A long time favorite destination for European golfers, Spain is well-worth the journey for any American golfers seeking to combine good golf, great weather and delicious food.
With the south of Spain enjoying a Mediterranean climate, golf can be played all year round but the best time to visit is in fall.
Although there is good golf to be played all around Spain, the two most popular areas are the Costa del Sol and Catalunya.
Costa del Sol
The Southern Spanish coastline between Marbella and Gibraltar is the Mecca of Spanish golf. With seven of Spain’s top-10 courses all within a 45-minute driving distance it is Spain’s most popular golf destination.
Catalunya
The northeast of Spain is a great area to visit if you’d like to combine golf with culture. Spend a few days golfing on the Costa Brava followed by a city trip to Barcelona.
