Last night Donald Trump officially became the owner of the Doonbeg Resort, which is roughly 400 acres and boasts a five-star resort and a Greg Norman designed 18-hole championship course.  The new name:  Trump International Golf Links, Ireland.

We at Pioneer Golf find it to be a nice companion when playing at Lahinch, a top 50 course in the world by most accounts, which is less than an hour away.
