The Quinta do Lago resort has three championship golf courses, The South Course, The North Course and Laranjal. The best is likely The South Course and should be included on any Algarve golf package tour. Designed by William Mitchell in 1974, it has hosted the Portuguese Open eight times and is always in fantastic condition. The mansions around the course are fun to see, but the course layout itself is quite spectacular and fun to play. The South Course can stretch to over 7,100 yards but you’ll be best advised to pick one of the sets of tees that are much shorter. If you are looking for the top Portugal golf courses for your Algarve golf tour then make sure to include the South Course at Quinta do Lago.
“Wanted to send you a final big thank you for your help putting the Scotland trip together for Brad and I. This was originally supposed to be a bucket list trip, but now Scotland will certainly be a destination for future golf vacations as well.”
