Overview:

This is one of those lesser-known, truly spectacular links courses of England that will always exceed your expectations! Hillside is known for perhaps having the best back nine in United Kingdom golf, and anyone visiting the Southport area of England must include Hillside GC on your England golf package tour.

Established in 1911, Hillside is the home course of Tommy Fleetwood and hosted the 2019 British Masters.  Although not yet ranked in the world top 100, many consider this links to be worthy especially the back nine through the high dunes.  Hillside is an absolute joy to play and Pioneer Golf guests rave about its merits year after year!

From 5,888 to 7,029 yards with five sets of tees, Hillside won’t overwhelm you on the scorecard but trust us when we say ‘it’s all you can handle’. Along with nearby courses on England’s golf coast, Hillside is a must-play England golf course along with Birkdale and Lytham.

Testimonials

“All of the courses were fantastic and in excellent shape.  The Old Course and Kingsbarns definitely stood out as favorites among the group. Western Gailes was a very pleasant surprise.”
