The five-star Turnberry Resort enjoys a spectacular coastal setting with breathtaking views of the Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and the Irish Sea. The resort will be hosting the British Open a few months after the trip!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

PRICE & PAYMENT

The above price was computed using the retail rate of exchange on January 10, 2008. Final price is subject to exchange rate fluctuation and will be computed at the retail rate of exchange in effect approximately 90 days prior to departure. Non-golfers may join the group provided additional rooms can be secured at our hotels. Pioneer Golf will attempt to pair up single golfers wishing to have a roommate. However, if unable to do so, the supplement for single occupancy will apply.

Upon registration, we would require a non-refundable deposit of $700.00 per person. On receipt of tee time confirmation from St Andrews, by mid- November, a further deposit of approximately $1,200.00 per golfer would be payable. The remaining balance would be due 90 days prior to departure. We accept checks, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Please note that all courses are subject to availability, and it will be mid November before most are confirmed.

Our price includes a guaranteed St. Andrews Old Course green fee, if successful, through advance application. An application for tee times would be submitted at the beginning of September 2008 with notification by mid-November. In the unlikely event that any tee time is not confirmed, all deposits paid are fully refundable.

DATES

The courses on this itinerary do not officially release their dates of closure until late summer. At this point in time, each course has informally confirmed that it will be open for play during the week of this itinerary. It is under this assumption that Pioneer Golf has set the above dates. In the unlikely event, that the course annouces an unexpected closure during these dates, Pioneer Golf reserves the right to change the date of this trip.

Traditionally, an Open venue will close for the month of July. In 2009, Turnberry, as the Open host, will likely close for on July 1, 2009. However, if extreme weather conditions have had an adverse effect on the fairways before July, an Open venue may decide to require the use of "fairway mats" to alleviate wear and tear of the fairway. Visitors must place such mats under the ball when hitting off of the fairway. In the unlikely event that Turnberry imposes such a requirement during this trip, the course will usually reduce the green fee considerably. Pioneer Golf is unable to offer further concessions or accept a cancellation under these circumstances. Last year, Carnoustie required the use of fairway mats beginning on June 8th, much earlier than in the past.

 CANCELLATION

The initial deposit stated above is non-refundable. However, in the unlikely event that any of the aforementioned courses are not confirmed and you wish to cancel your reservation, it will be refunded. The second deposit and balance are non-refundable.

Travel insurance for accident, baggage, and trip cancellation protection is recommended. CSA Travel Protection is a leading travel insurance provider with competitive rates and an easy, online registration process. You may obtain a quotation from their website: http://www.csatravelprotection.com/freestyle?aff=45808372. Note their terms for coverage of a pre-existing condition, for which the policy has to be effected prior to our final balance due date.

HANDICAP CERTIFICATES

A handicap certificate is required. All golfers must have a recognized handicap certificate not exceeding 24 (gentlemen) or 36 (ladies) for most courses. The exception is Royal Troon where the limit is 20 (gentlemen) and 30 (ladies). We cannot be responsible for unacceptable credentials
